The HAI-OPS Project is now launched!
The „Hospital Acquired Infection and Outbreak Prevention System” (HAI-OPS) project’s main purpose is to handle hospital acquired infections (HAI) both as singular cases and outbreaks. HAI-OPS aims to decrease overall mortality and morbidity associated with HAI, by specifically targeting their most common sources and transmission pathways. The project will create a cyber-physical solution integrating a network of sensors and monitoring software for clinical workflows and ambient conditions, able to provide real-time information and alerts, advanced analytics for cutting down HAI roots and for outbreak prevention, all packed as configurable, standards-compliant plug-in for existing Hospital Information Systems (HIS).
The project will run between December 2015 – December 2018 and is a partnership set up between NZOZ Eskulap, a private outpatient clinic from Poland, Info World, a large company specialized in development and maintenance of large scale eHealth solutions, Innovatec SL, a Spanish SME specialized in development of custom sensors and hardware devices. The consortium also includes the University Politehnica of Bucharest, who provide support concerning medical data standards and transmission as well as the Carol Davila University of Medicine, who assist with medical and legal issues within the project.
