The reported period covered the first four months of the project, and the first third of WP1. The main objective of the work undertaken during the reported time span was to reach common understanding of medical personnel requirements, technical challenges as well as existing medical and legal regulations that will affect the HAI-OPS platform. One of the main characteristics of the project is that it reunites partners with very different skill sets, including experts in hardware and software development and deployment as well as medical and legal medicine experts. As such, the start of the project requires coordination to ensure that requirements as well as limitations are clearly understood by all partners. The first phase was dedicated to understanding both existing as well as research capabilities at Innovatec, the project partner with expertise in the development and deployment of indoor sensor technology, as well as the clinical setting and work carried out at Eskulap, the location of the first planned pilot. The undertaken activities lead to the first version of the user requirements document, that will constitute the basis for starting the technical work.
